Hi, I’m Amy.
I’m a book reader, music connoisseur, and mamma of two. I like to kick things and chase people with punches.
I train kickboxing to take time for me, to challenge myself, to keep my body and mind healthy and to find goals for myself that help give me direction. Outside of kickboxing, I read and mountain bike (not at the same time for obvious reasons).
In my approach to coaching, I like to break things down into their smallest parts so that the brain has all the information to figure out how it can accomplish its goal. I think that the more information you have, the better you can adjust something to your own style and physical needs. I think encouragement and positive reinforcement is essential in building confidence in yourself and your abilities. I think one of the best ways to reach your goals is to be able to have fun, not just work hard.
